So overcast even the birds were grounded.

The north end of the Burnham Greenway is a bike path through neighborhoods.

The marked bike trail through Calumet park is a relabeled sidewalk. There were curbs at every parking lot entrance and street crossing. WE switched to the street at about mi 3.3

We decided to go downtown on the same day as the Lalapalooza Concert and the Tall Ships visit. At several points there were so many cyclists and pedestrians on the bike path that we had to dismount and walk the bikes. As we rode out from around the Aquarium we could hear the bands from Lalapalooza playing in Grant Park .
